The nearest airport to The Cambrian is at Bern, which is around one hour away by train. You can also fly into Basel, Geneva or Zürich, which are between two and three hours away. Swiss trains are fast, efficient and, most importantly,
always on time – and we recommend you arrive in Adelboden by rail, especially as the alternative involves driving on motorways where speed cameras are ubiquitous. Return tickets are available from www.sbb.ch, and are accompanied by a detailed journey breakdown that even tells you on which platform to stand. The final stretch of the journey, 20 minutes from Frutigen to Adelboden, is via a bus – complete with plenty of storage space for ski equipment – which terminates right opposite the hotel.
