Pentecost at The Cambrian
Pentecost at The Cambrian marks the quiet beginning of summer in the mountains.
Adelboden has fully shifted seasons — the air is softer, the days longer, and nature in full bloom. It’s a time to head outside, explore a little, and settle into a slower rhythm.
Mornings start on the terrace, with breakfast in the sun, followed by easy walks along the Hörnliweg or up to the Alpgarten. From Thursday to Saturday, Tschentenalp offers a simple change of perspective, while day trips to Oeschinen Lake or into the Kiental open up the landscape even more.
In between, there’s space for the good things: a picnic prepared by us, a relaxed bike ride — our bikes are ready when you are — or a quiet moment at one of the Brätelstellen in the area.
And then, back to base camp. The winter garden, the terrace, the spa — places to unwind, reset, or simply do very little at all.
After the long winter months, this is the moment we look forward to: light, ease, and the feeling of summer just beginning.
However you choose to spend your time, this is a place to do it your way — to slow down, to enjoy a little more, and to rediscover what makes The Cambrian feel so effortlessly like home.

The mountain, just above
Tschentenalp is one of those places that’s easy to reach — and even easier to enjoy.
With the mountain lifts open, it’s a relaxed starting point for gentle hikes, wide views and a change of pace just above Adelboden. Whether you set out on foot or simply take in the scenery, it’s all about being outside and taking your time.
For a little thrill, the Giant Swing adds a playful moment to the day — or keep things simple with a walk, some fresh air and a stop along the way.
Dogs are very welcome, making it an easy choice for a day out together.
And afterwards, perhaps a quiet moment at the top — or back at The Cambrian, easing into the rest of the day.

On two wheels
Our bikes are ready when you are.
Whether it’s a gentle ride through the valley or a more adventurous route into the mountains, exploring Adelboden on two wheels is one of the easiest ways to experience the landscape.
Mountain bikes and e-bikes are available directly at The Cambrian — set up, serviced, and good to go. Simply choose your pace and head out.
For inspiration, ride out to the Cholerenschlucht, follow the valley down towards Frutigen and on to the Blausee, or — for those feeling more ambitious — take on the Thunersee loop, a full-day ride of 116 km.
You can now reserve your bike online in advance, making it even easier to plan your day.

Lake Oeschinen and Kiental
For those looking to venture a little further, some of the region’s most iconic landscapes are well within reach.
Oeschinen Lake is just 45 minutes away by car, or around 1h45 minutes by public transport — a journey that leads to one of the most striking alpine settings in Switzerland. From the top station, a panoramic trail unfolds along the mountainside, with wide views across the lake and surrounding peaks.
In the other direction, the Kiental offers a quieter, more untouched feel. Reached in around 45 minutes by car or 1h45 by bus, it’s ideal for gentle walks through the valley, surrounded by steep rock faces, waterfalls and unspoilt nature.
Both make for an easy day out — a change of scenery, a deeper breath of mountain air, and a sense of just how much there is to explore just beyond Adelboden.
And afterwards, back to The Cambrian — to unwind, reset, and let the day settle.
