  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is from 15:00. Check-out is until 11:00.

    Should you arrive earlier, we will be happy to store your luggage so you can start enjoying your time in Adelboden straight away. You are also welcome to use the spa before check-in or after check-out.

    How do I get to the hotel by public transport?

    Adelboden is easily accessible via the Swiss rail and bus network.

    Take the train to Frutigen station, then transfer to the regional bus line 230 towards Adelboden, Post. The final stop, Adelboden, Post, is just across the street from the hotel entrance.

    You can also use the SBB luggage service to have your bags forwarded directly from many Swiss addresses or airports to the hotel.

    Is parking available at the hotel?

    Yes, parking is available at the hotel, both indoors and outdoors. Parking is charged at CHF 20.00 per night.

    Spaces are limited and subject to availability. If you are arriving with a vehicle higher than 2.05 m or with a roof box, we recommend reserving a parking space before arrival.

    Do you offer electric car charging?

    Yes, electric car charging is available nearby. As spaces are limited, we recommend letting us know in advance if you would like to use this service. Charges may apply.

     

     

  • Are there specific room types for families?

    Yes. We offer several room layouts that work well for families, including split-level maisonette rooms and selected suites with separate bedrooms.

    Our Family Suites are maisonette-style rooms with separate sleeping areas, while the Adelboden Suite and Snowdon Suite offer multiple bedrooms for larger families or guests travelling together. Connecting rooms are also available on request, subject to availability.

    Which rooms have the best panoramic views?

    Our most panoramic views are from the rooms and suites facing south, towards the mountains.

    For the best views, we recommend booking one of the following categories: Deluxe Room South, Junior Suite South, Family Suite South, Cambrian Suite or Snowdon Suite.

    Which rooms have a balcony?

    Many of our double rooms have a balcony. If a balcony is important to you, please add it as a request when booking and we will do our best to accommodate it, subject to availability.

    A balcony is guaranteed when booking a Junior Suite South, Cambrian Suite or Snowdon Suite.

    Can you provide baby cots or extra beds?

    Yes. Baby cots can be arranged in all room categories free of charge.

    Extra beds are available in Junior Suites at an additional charge. If you enter the correct number of guests when booking, the room will be prepared accordingly. If you would like to add an extra bed after booking, please contact us in advance so we can confirm availability. An additional charge applies.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Dogs are welcome at The Cambrian. Please let us know before arrival if you are travelling with a dog, so we can confirm availability and prepare your room accordingly.

    A charge of CHF 35.00 per night per pet applies.

    Do you offer accessible rooms?

    Yes, The Cambrian offers selected rooms with accessible features. Please contact us before booking so we can advise on the most suitable room type and make sure the layout meets your needs.

    Our team will also be happy to provide more information about accessibility in the hotel’s public areas before your stay.

     

  • What are the opening hours for the spa and pools?

    The spa facilities and pools are open daily from 8:00 to 21:00.

    The sauna and steam bath are open from 12:00 to 21:00. Earlier access between 9:00 and 12:00 may be possible on request.

    What are the swimming hours and rules for children?

    Families and children are welcome in our spa. To keep the experience comfortable for everyone, we divide the day into family times and quiet hours.

    Children under 16 may use the indoor and outdoor pools from 10:00 to 18:00.

    From 8:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00, the pool areas are reserved for quiet relaxation.

    The Finnish sauna, steam room and indoor relaxation lounge are reserved for guests aged 16 and over.

    What is the temperature of the outdoor pool?

    Our outdoor pool is heated to 34°C year-round. It features built-in massage jets and panoramic views across the surrounding mountain landscape.

    Can non-residents use the spa?

    Yes, day spa access is available for external guests, subject to availability.

    As capacity is limited, advance booking is required. We recommend booking well in advance, especially during weekends and holiday periods.

    Do I need to book spa treatments in advance?

    Yes, we strongly recommend booking spa treatments before arrival, especially during weekends, holidays and busy travel periods.

    Our team will be happy to help you choose the right treatment, or you can book treatments online through our webshop.

  • What time is breakfast served?

    Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 to 10:30.

    On Saturdays and Sundays, breakfast is served until 11:00.

    Is there a formal dress code at the hotel?

    No. The Cambrian has a relaxed, casual-luxury atmosphere. There is no formal dress code for our restaurant, bar or lounge spaces.

    Do I need to reserve a table for dinner?

    Yes, we recommend reserving a table in advance, especially for dinner and during busy periods.

    Please also let us know if your rate includes dinner, when we may reserve a table for you, or when you would like to dine. Contact our team before arrival, speak to reception during their stay, or reserve a table online.

    Can external guests visit the bar or restaurant?

    Yes. External guests are very welcome at our bar and restaurant.

    For dinner, we recommend reserving a table in advance, especially during weekends, holidays and busy periods.

    Do you cater for dietary requirements?

    Yes. Please let us know about any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements before your visit, and our team will do their best to accommodate them.

    Is there an à la carte menu?

    Yes. Alongside our à la carte menu, we also offer a set 3-course menu and a 5-course chef’s choice menu.

    Do you offer room service?

    Yes, room service is available during selected hours. Please check the in-room information or contact our team during your stay for the current menu and service times.

    Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?

    Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant. They are, however, welcome on the terrace and in the Axe Bar.

    Where can I enjoy fondue?

    Fondue is served on the Axe Bar terrace in both summer and winter — and in all weather.

  • What is the Adelboden Guest Card?

    The Adelboden Guest Card gives you free travel in 2nd class on selected local public transport, including participating bus and train services within the valid area. Please note that public transport for arrival and departure is not included.

    The card also includes attractive discounts for activities in the region, including selected mountain railways and local attractions.

    You will receive your Guest Card by email once you have completed the pre-check-in, or at the latest when you check in at the hotel. If you have not received it, please contact our team and we will be happy to help.

    Please check the current area of validity and included benefits during your stay, as they may vary by season.

    Are mountain railway passes included?

    During the summer season, we include mountain railway passes for guests who book directly with us for 3 nights or more.

    Please check the current offer details when booking, as conditions may vary by season and rate.

    How do I get to the ski lifts?

    The village lift is around 10 minutes on foot from the hotel, through the centre of Adelboden.

    During the winter season, our ski shuttle also operates to the main cable car station at selected times.

    Please ask our team for the current shuttle schedule during your stay.

    How can I buy ski passes?

    We recommend purchasing ski passes online in advance. The ski area uses flexible pricing, so booking early usually gives you access to the best available price.

    Our team will be happy to point you in the right direction if you need help.

    Can I rent bikes at the hotel?

    Yes. Mountain bikes and e-bikes can be rented directly at the hotel, subject to availability.

    Our team can also help with local route suggestions and tips for exploring Adelboden by bike.

    Is there a ski and bike room?

    Yes. The hotel has a dedicated ski and bike room where you can store your equipment during your stay.

    Can the hotel help with activities and reservations?

    Yes. Our team will be happy to help with local recommendations, restaurant bookings, hiking ideas, ski information, bike routes, spa appointments and seasonal activities in and around Adelboden.
