A few long weekends ahead
With a few long weekends and holidays ahead, summer begins quietly in the mountains at The Cambrian.
Adelboden has fully shifted seasons — the air softer, the days longer, the landscape in full bloom. It’s the time of year for slower mornings, longer lunches, and spending more of the day outside.
Breakfast moves onto the terrace. Walks stretch a little further — along the Hörnliweg, up towards the Alpgarten, or simply wherever the day leads. From Thursday to Sunday, Tschentenalp offers an easy change of perspective above the village, while day trips to Oeschinen Lake or the Kiental open up the landscape even more.
In between, there’s space for the good things: a picnic beside the river, a relaxed bike ride through the valley — our bikes are ready when you are — or a quiet afternoon at one of the nearby Brätelstellen.
And afterwards, back to base camp.
The Wintergarden. The terrace. The spa. Places to unwind, reset, or simply do very little at all.
After the long winter months, this is the moment we look forward to most — lighter days, open windows, fresh mountain air, and the feeling of summer just beginning.
However you choose to spend your time, The Cambrian is a place to do it your way — to slow down, settle in, and enjoy the mountains at their easiest.

The mountain, just above
Tschentenalp is one of those places that’s easy to reach — and even easier to enjoy.
With the lifts now open, it’s the perfect starting point for gentle hikes, open views and a slower pace above the village. Whether you head out walking or simply settle in and take in the scenery, it’s all about being outside and taking your time.
For a little thrill, the Giant Swing adds a playful moment to the day. Or keep things simple: fresh air, an easy walk, and a long lunch somewhere along the way.
Dogs are very welcome too, making it an easy day out together.
And afterwards, perhaps a quiet drink at the top — or back to The Cambrian to ease into the rest of the afternoon.

On two wheels
Our bikes are ready when you are.
From relaxed valley rides to more adventurous mountain routes, exploring Adelboden on two wheels is one of the easiest ways to experience the landscape at this time of year.
Mountain bikes and e-bikes are available directly from The Cambrian — set up, serviced and ready to go. Simply choose your pace and head out.
For inspiration, ride through the Cholerenschlucht, follow the valley towards Frutigen and the Blausee, or — for those feeling more ambitious — take on the Thunersee loop, a full-day ride covering 116 km.
Bikes can now be reserved online in advance, making it even easier to plan the day.

Lake Oeschinen and Kiental
For those looking to venture a little further, some of the region’s most striking landscapes are well within reach.
Oeschinen Lake is just 45 minutes away by car, or around 1 hour 45 minutes by public transport — a journey leading to one of Switzerland’s most iconic alpine settings. From the top station, panoramic trails unfold above the lake, with wide-open views across the water and surrounding peaks.
In the other direction, the Kiental feels quieter, wilder and more untouched. Reached in around 45 minutes by car or 1 hour 45 minutes by bus, it’s ideal for gentle walks through the valley, surrounded by waterfalls, steep rock faces and unspoilt nature.
Both make for an easy day away — a change of scenery, a deeper breath of mountain air, and a reminder of just how much there is to explore beyond Adelboden.
And afterwards, back to The Cambrian — to unwind, reset, and let the day settle.
